Booktime

Robyn loves booktime. Booktime is right in the middle of the bedtime routine. Getting into pajamas, brushing teeth, booktime, prayer, say night-night to everyone (and everything) then finally getting plopped into the crib on her tummy. Going to bed is hard to do because Robyn loves to be out and about.

But booktime, oh booktime.

Daddy announces it is booktime, and Robyn teeters past the pencil stool to grab a book off the bookshelf. She brings it to Daddy-- who is sitting cross-legged on the floor--and then turns around and backs in until she sits on his lap (there have been times where she backs in across the entire room--hilarious). Booktime begins. Robyn taps on the pages when something interests her, laughs when Daddy makes the animals in the book make funny noises, and when she has had enough she stands up to get a new one. In an interesting development, last night's booktime had a new feature: Robyn actually put the book back...upon request! She put it on the shelf and then grabbed a new one. Next step, room cleaning!

What a smart babers!
